Steven Bollman is born in New York. He is graduated from School of Visual Arts (NYC) with a BFA in Photography in 1983. After graduating he began his career as a freelance photographer working on editorial and commercial assignments. His work has been published in Aperture, U.S. News and World Report, Vanity Fair and Newsday among others. In 1987 he joined the photo agency Matrix covering Haiti’s Democratic elections. He have worked on photographic essays in Cuba, Haiti, Sicily, Spain, France and New York.
