Andrea Giacobbe is an italian photographer and film maker

After moving to London and working as a studio assistant, Andrea Giacobbe studied photography for two years at the Bournemouth & Poole College of Art & Design.
Since the early nineties, whether as original fashion spreads or as iconic portraiture, his photography has appeared in numerous magazines including The Face, Dazed & Confused, Citizen K, Spin, Marie Claire, Donna, Flaunt, Photo, Ray Gun, and The New York Times Magazine. Additionally, he has signed several print campaigns for clients such as Nike and Diesel.
His film work began in1996, with a 60 second short, written and directed for the program "Tracks" on the Euro channel Arte, and still airing weekly. (« Tracks » generic : )
Andrea's motion work also includes award-winning music videos, a short film, and a number of commercials.
In 2002, he was part of the group exhibition "Archeology of Elegance 1980-2000 : twenty years of fashion photography" at Deichtorhallen, in Hamburg, and his work is featured in book publications including "The Impossible Image" (Mark Sanders – Phaidon Press, 2000) and "Archeology of Elegance" (Marion de Beaupre – Rizzoli, 2002).
Andrea was born in Florence, Italy, where he lived until his early teens. Since, he has lived, studied and worked in the United States, the UK, Italy and France.
He is now based in Paris, where he continues his work.
